THA Events and Meets- Texas Hawking Association

Each year, THA hosts three large events for its members: the Annual Meet, Annual Picnic and Sky Trials. Additionally, a number of "Mini-Meets" are held regionally throughout the state. The Annual Meet is traditionally held in Abilene, and is the largest of the THA member events. Both the Annual Meet and Picnic give falconers scattered across the state a chance to come together for a weekend to renew friendships, gain knowledge through guest speakers and workshops, swap stories and, at the Annual Meet, go hawking! The Sky Trials are usually held in February (weather permitting) and offers the opportunity to see longwingers do what they do best: fly their falcons to their fullest potential. For individuals who want to become falconers and are looking for a sponsor, joining THA and attending these meets will be of enormous benefit. Dates and times for future meets will be posted here.
