Each year, THA members host a number of small, informal "mini-meets" in various regions of the state. The gatherings bring together local falconers for a day or weekend of good hawking, good food and (usually) beer! Mini-meets have also been held to go trapping in the Fall- an especially helpful process for a new beginner. While THA may be all about hawking, it's the friends you make and keep with you through the assocation that sustains membership. |

One of the more gregarious groups who frequently hold mini-meets are the TOD's, which are headquartered in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. TOD outtings are a blast to attend, the members friendly and outgoing. TOD's are usually very open to allowing perspective falconers to tag along and see what "real" dirt hawking (read Rabbits!) is all about. |
